Our Impact

TOMRA Australia provides advanced reverse vending technology that transform the way people recycle their drink containers. By offering efficient and user-friendly systems, we help increase recycling rates, reduce litter, and support environmental sustainability across the country. Our solutions play a key role in Australia’s container deposit schemes, turning waste into valuable resources and creating a cleaner future.

What is the Clean Loop?

At TOMRA, we’re reimagining recycling to make it better, in a process we call The Cleanest Loop. When you recycle a container with TOMRA, it gets given a new life as another container. This ensures we use less energy and materials to ensure we waste less.

Our innovative systems make recycling easy and efficient, helping to keep valuable materials in circulation. We’re committed to returning the funds generated from recycling back to the community, supporting local programs and initiatives that create meaningful environmental and social benefits.

Reducing our Footprint

TOMRA is trialling solar-powered return points across different states as part of our commitment to sustainability. By using renewable energy to power our recycling infrastructure, we’re reducing our environmental impact and leading by example in responsible business practices.

This initiative demonstrates our dedication to environmental stewardship while continuing to advance efficient and sustainable recycling solutions.

TOMRA is trialing electric vehicles (EVs) across multiple states as part of our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. By integrating EVs into our operations, we aim to lower emissions and promote cleaner, more sustainable transportation solutions. This initiative reflects our commitment to environmental responsibility and continuous improvement in minimising our impact on the planet.

TOMRA is committed to supporting the repair loop by actively investing in the restoration and reuse of secondhand and hard-to-recycle parts. By extending the life of components through repair, we reduce waste, conserve resources, and align our operations with circular economy principles.

This approach underscores our dedication to sustainable, responsible practices across every stage of our business.
